Rod Anderson, Anderson Note Specialties, truly goes above and beyond with all that he does. An active member of the Education Committee, Rod has participated in every program the committee has tackled this year. He coordinated readers for two schools for the National Young Readers Day program last fall. He networked with students for Osbourn Park High School’s FBLA club during the Speed Networking event they held early this year. He helped sort and deliver sweat suits for the Winter Warm-up! Drive that provided warm clothing for 550 school children this year. Last but not least, many of you may recall seeing him dressed in a graduation cap and gown selling raffle tickets at Chamber luncheons to raise funds for scholarships. Thanks in part to his efforts, the Greater Chamber is awarding a total of twelve scholarships this year, an increase of three over last year. Education Committee Co-Chair Denyse Carroll of Micron Foundation said of him, “We are honored to have him on our committee and proud to call him a friend.”
John Erickson, Business Products Express, is an Ambassador with the Chamber. In addition to mentoring new Chamber members and showing them how to use our Chamber marketing tools and events to benefit their business, he also continuously promotes membership in the Chamber to other business owners who have yet to join. In addition, John serves on the Technology Committee, the Connections Committee and has recently joined the Economic Development Committee. Moreover, he sponsored our annual “Pat on the Back” in March. Due to all of the support and volunteer hours he donates to the Greater Chamber, John Erickson deserves a huge “Pat on the Back” himself.
