Brian Spence of Minuteman Press donated the invitations for the Chamber's black tie-optional Arts Alive! Gala held in September. The artwork was originally created to be printed in black ink. After reviewing a proof of the invitations in black and white, Brian called and volunteered to add a second color, saying that the look of the invitations would be vastly improved. Subsequently, many phone calls and emails flew back and forth from his designer and Chamber staff in order to prepare the artwork for two colors. Thanks to our October Gold Star recipient, the invitations looked fabulous printed in two colors, were sent out on time and the Arts Alive! Gala was a resounding success.
Dancin Happy DeeJay Services
Bruce Van Dusen of Dancin Happy DeeJay Services has worked hard on three major Chamber events. He provided the sound equipment at the Chamber Challenge Softball Game held this summer with the Prince William Regional Chamber. He worked with the Connections ETC Committee to make this year's Connections ETC trade show the most successful in the Chamber's history, helping the exhibitors to access the electricity to power up their booths. He also allowed the Chamber to use his sound system for the Connections ETC ribbon cutting ceremony. For the Cuisine de Commerce luncheon, he not only lent his sound equipment but also provided his services as a professional DJ to make sure the event was a re-SOUND-ing success.
