Chamber Member of the Year Awarded to the member who has taken the initiative to make the most significant contributions or the most favorable impact on the Chamber membership. In addition, community service may be considered.
We are in search of the "movers and shakers" of the Chamber. For example, past recipients have been the members who attended many events; participated in committee work; sponsored Chamber events; volunteered to help in many capacities; and are our "Chamber Cheerleaders" throughout the year.
Chamber Committee of the Year Awarded to the Chamber committee who during the previous year has shown the most initiative and innovation in carrying out their plans for the year. This group has pulled together in strong volunteer support of their Chamber's programs and/or events.
Business of the Year (Up to 5 employees)
Louis E. Maroon Business of the Year (6-15 employees)
Business of the Year (16 or more employees)
Must be a Chamber member
Must be a viable, on going business which has maintained stability over its business life
Must have a good reputation in the community
Must
display overall outstanding contributions to the Chamber; contributions
to the local community may be considered
Chamber Project of the Year Awarded to a project or event including those done annually or only one time. The criteria are based on the degree that the project contributed to the following:
Improving
the business relations between members through networking and promotional
opportunities
Improving
the knowledge of members and their employees through information
sharing and/or seminars
Improving
the public perception of the Chamber through media and community
activities
Meeting its objectives
Rookie of the Year Awarded to a new member business or individual who has truly demonstrated support and participation in the Chamber. This is for the "new kid on the block" who has jumped in and attended events, participated on committees and volunteered to help the Chamber.
Behind the Scenes Business Award Awarded to a member business who has made significant contributions
of volunteer work to the Chamber that would generally go unrewarded.
Behind the Scenes" Individual Award Awarded to an individual who has made significant contributions
of volunteer work to the Chamber that would generally go unrewarded.
Nonprofit Community Service Member of the Year Award Awarded to a member nonprofit community service organization that has truly demonstrated its support and participation in the Chamber and has shown significant contributions to the community. The Chamber is proud to have over 140 nonprofit organizations as members. Events and benefits have been specifically designed to help them so they can help others. We would like to recognize the nonprofit organizations who take advantage of the networking and promotional opportunities available through Chamber membership.
New Nonprofit Arts & Entertainment Member of the Year Award Awarded to a member nonprofit arts & entertainment organization that has truly demonstrated its support and participation in the Chamber and has shown significant contributions to the community.
